The Windex 1200c
is a powered sailplane for amateur construction build by WINDEXAIR AB.
Windex 1200c is primarily a high-performance sailplane, but its
unique concept with a low-drag fin-mounted engine installation and a
variable-pitch propeller turns it also into an efficient touring
aircraft with a cruising speed of 210 km/h (130 mph). In addition to
this the airframe of Windex 1200c is stressed for aerobatic
manoeuvres and designed to JAR 22 (A).
The model is very well
reproduced and gets into the super scale class, with an outstanding cockpit
interior, nicely applied decals and crafted by a master. Flying is just amazing
due to the acceptable wing loading it thermals well without any bad behaviour. It has very smooth and predictable handling.
The kit is very complete. The wings are
hollow molded,
spoilers installed and the ailerons are live hinged,
the winglets are fiberglass moulded. The clear plastic canopy is fitted
to the fiberglass tray and has the full size opening mechanism, tow
release is installed, complete wing joiner system is installed in the fuselage.
Retractable landing gear installed, even a canopy cover is supplied. All what's required is your radio gear
and power setup.
You will need 2 micro servos
for
the ailerons, 2 micro for the flaps, two for the airbrakes and three regular servos for the rudder, elevator
and landing gear. And an other for the tow release. This is definitely a
great value kit.
Complete outfitted cockpit interior and
instrument panel. A small package hardware and short building instructions are
completing the kit.
