The H-201 Standard Libelle was a follow-on Standard
Class sailplane to the successful H-301 Libelle Open Class glider. It was
similar to the H-301, with modifications to meet the Standard Class
requirements. The prototype made its first flight in October 1967, with a total
of 601 being built.
We offer here a 1:4 semi-scale reproduction in an all
moulded construction and comes highly prefabricated. It can be flown from a
winch, converted to electric, or aero-towed, It will also excel on a slope. The
airfoil leads to a nice glide path with nice acceleration for aerobatics. It has
a great thermal capabilities with great handling and smooth behaviour. Add some
click camber and it becomes very gentle for some nice thermal flying.
The kit comes completely finished. The
wings are hollow moulded, ailerons and flaps are live hinged, and airbrakes are
fitted. It can be flown with or without winglets at 3.85m or 4.0m.
Construction is glass/rohacell sandwich
wing skin with plenty of carbon reinforcement for additional stiffness.
Fuselage is all glass with a high gloss finish. An retractable landing gear
comes pre-installed. The clear plastic canopy is fitted to the fiberglass tray,
a moulded seat is completing the cockpit.
All what's required is your radio gear. You will need
4-6 high torque mini servos for the wings, 2-3 standard servos for the tail and
landing gear, and a
regular receiver.
