The Gö-6 Minimoa Mo 2a from Schempp-Hirth was a the only
two seat glider to be built from the initial requirement
for two in 1937. The second seat was built between the wings,
behind the main wing spar and the fuselage deepened to give more
rear cockpit room. The nose was lengthened for adjustment of
C.of G. The fuselage was
0.26 m. longer than the standard Minimoa. This glider took part
in the 1937 Rhön Contest (but had to be abandoned
The original is a beauty, a must for the
vintage friend. In this model, lots of care has been
taken to be as accurate to the full size as possible, so the wing are built up and tells by
them self. The root ribs are cut out and let you see the inside
of the wing structure as on the original. A beauty.
The wings can easily be retrofitted with
airbrakes. The box to recei8ve the airbrakes is prebuilt, so
only gluing the airbrakes in is required. The servo tray will receive the four
standard servos: rudder, elevator, tow release. The elevator can
optionally be actuated by means of two servos.
This Minimoa is not only a 1:5
scale reproduction but it fly like the original, a real puppy.
The chosen airfoil and its built up structure makes
this airplane a great all around characteristics that will fly a
gentle speed. This airplane will do well on a flat field
or on the slope.
