 Amazing how accurate a scale glider can be
reproduced even at that size. This Discus 2b is the latest standard class
(15m) from Shemp-Hirth. It superseded the Discus with this new planform and tip
poly break. This new poly wing lead to better handling in thermals.
The model is very accurate reproduction at 1:6
scale. It comes ready for radio gear installation. Ailerons, rudder and
elevator, optional retract wheel can be supplied installed. Canopy tray comes
outfitted to match full size interior and canopy is hinged side wise and opens
like full size.
 The flying
behaviour is tender and very smooth,
easy to thermal, and responsive for slope flying as well.
The kit comes completely finished. The
wings are hollow core molded of the best quality and the ailerons are cut-out. The clear plastic canopy is fitted to the
fiberglass tray, wing joiner system is
installed in the fuselage and a carbon rod is supplied as a wing joiner. All what's required is your radio gear. You will need 4
sub-micro servos and a small 4 channel receiver.
