The H-301 Libelle was
produced between 1964 and 1969 byformer Glasflügel
director and designer Eugen Hanle and Wolfgang Hutter. It was the first all
composite glider that was produced in substantial quantities (over 100 units).
It was also the base for the upcoming series H-20x Libelle and the famous Salto
(thus the similarity of the fuselage design).
This H-301 Libelle is a
really nice semi-scale
reproduction at 1:6 scale and comes as an all molded kit and is highly finished. This model is
well suited for slope flying, but will do well on a
good thermal day and can be histarted or winched. It is also suited aero towing
or even for electric conversion. Nice smooth handling, without any bad habit. It
has an extended flight envelope thanks the flaps, which allows easy landing in
restricted aera.
The kit comes completely finished. The
wings are hollow moulded, ailerons and flaps are hinged. Moulded winglets are
removable. The tail is bolt on and
so removable for ease of transportation. The clear plastic canopy is fitted to the
fiberglass tray, molded seat and interior
are finishing the cockpit. Retractable landing gear is installed. All what's required is your radio gear. You will need
4 sub-micro servos, 3 micro servos and a small 6 channel receiver.
