The
full-size airplane:
The Grumman F7F Tigercat was the
first twin-engined fighter aircraft design to enter service with the United
States Navy. Although delivered before end of WWII it did not see combat service
in that war. They finally saw service in the Korean War.
The
model
The
Grumman F7F Tigercat is designe3d for
a twin 3cell Lipo setup, which will give him realistic flight behaviour and
gives the feel of a well sized aircraft. Launching and landing
are trouble free. The model can even make some nice aerobatic routines.
The kit comes with a hybrid construction
of fibreglass moulded fuselage and nacelles and pre-built wooden wings and tail.
The remaining parts are made from thermoformed material, like the canopy,
cockpit interior, fake engines. Battery can easily be changed via the canopy
hatch access. Detailed drawing and instructions, and all hardware to complete
the kit are included.
